Makoto Tange started his career
in 1978 while still being a student at Waseda University
.
He took many acting roles from
the classics to avant garde to improvisational works.
His theatre activities were carried
out throughout Japan , and also in many overseas countries.
For 18 years, Tange worked at Mainich Daily news digest
version division, and specialized in International affairs.
Tange's hobby is in study of
history, language and cuisine of various countries.

Ever since 1998, he added Playback theatre
into his theatre genre. Since year 2000, he has taken a major role
in Playback theatre Performance group, AZ. In 2002, he attended
Playback theatre summer school program in New York .
He is currently active as an actor in theatre
and TV, and in Playback theatre.
He is also well known as a communication
and drama facilitator and a director for plays and various events.
